We had copper soaking tub installed by the original plumber when our home was built new in 2022. However, we had multiple leaks with both the supply lines and drain. Sam Brown of Grand Lake Plumbing quickly diagnosed all of the problems and basically reinstalled the tub, correcting all of the prior plumber's mistakes. Everything works perfect now ... no leaks! Grand Lake Plumbing, and specifically Sam and Rebecca/Becky, were a delight to work with. They kept us fully informed on parts ordering/delivery status, technical issues and the repair schedule. The re-installed tub presented a few unexpected challenges, but Sam creatively and cheerfully solved all issues without fuss. I highly recommend Grand Lake Plumbing!

The Grand Lake Plumbing team was wonderful. They kept us well informed throughout the installation and were considerate to followup several times post. The team was well educated to the boiler, water filtration and water heater systems that were being installed and was good at explaining the process to us.

We moved to Grand Lake in 2021 into a house that needed heating and plumbing work. Grand Lake Plumbing and Heating responded quickly when our heat system broke down the first winter we were here. Then we had plumbing issues which were also quickly addressed and resolved. Every person who has been to our house has been professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. Thankfully GL got us in same day and communicated with us every step of the way. Sam was easy to work with, friendly with our dogs that were on the loose. You will definitely pay a premium but quick and friendly service can be hard to find these days.

We had a great experience with Grand Lake Plumbing. We had a less straightforward job for them to do involving redoing the pipes for four sinks — one of which was a kitchen sink with a garbage disposal. This work was done over two days because we were replacing our countertops. I appreciated that they assigned the same technician to the second day so that he already had context on our unique job. They were very diligent, took their time doing everything with high quality. They cared about the outcome of the job which with some plumbers, they’re in and out as fast as they can. We’ll definitely use them again.

I love Grand Lake Plumbing! Becky and Rebecca are super helpful on the scheduling side. It’s been so nice getting to know Des Oliver who came out as the plumber for my pipe job. I really appreciate how he is so amazing at his job - not only on the technical repair/ installation / problem solving side but also as a patient and consultative partner for home owners. Really impressed by his professionalism and ability to explain the problem / teach me about maintaining my home plumbing systems. Meticulous and tidy. I also really like that there is an effort to keep the same tech on the case from start to finish and look forward to working with Des on my next project in a couple weeks.

Update - another awesome job led by Des with support from Seth today on my hot water heater install. Great problem solving, communication, and experience as always!!

We had a Phyn smart water controller installed last week. This device allows us to both remotely shut off the water but the device also learns usage patterns and will automatically shut the water off if it senses a leak. Very valuable device for a second home and wish we would have installed it several years ago.
Grand Lake Plumbig (Des) did a great job with the install, which took a little more than an hour.

We use GLP for all of our plumbing and heating needs both large (full boiler replacement last year) to small (radiant heat leak) and once again we were very happy with the service. Easy to schedule, great communication and fair pricing.

We always have a good experience with GL Plumbing & Heating. My most recent experiences have been with Marcus, and he is professional, fair, patient with my many questions, and gets the work done and done well. Des was also onsite with Marcus recently for a quote and to help troubleshoot a solution on a project and he was also kind and helpful. Becky at the office is usually the person answering the phone and is probably hearing people at their most stressed out, and she is the best. I am always grateful for her assistance getting things sorted out!
Grand County is fortunate to have this company of experts (and overall genuinely nice folks!)

Updated 10/17/25 to add that working with Sam today on a maintenance project for our sewer line winterization went smoothly! He was straightforward with our options, provided helpful info on how to weigh those options, and I appreciated his patience and good humor this morning!

Sam and his crew came and replaced a kitchen facet and added a fresh water bib to fill our hot tub. Very knowledgeable and explained different options. Yes, it was expensive but the two man crew was here for almost 3 hours. Also I had a boiler/heat inspection done by another GL employee who explained things well and explained benefits of their service contact. Very happy with service from all three employees.

Des (the plumber) did a great job. He installed water cop and new kitchen faucet. There was some faulty plumbing by previous contractors before we bought our current house in Columbine that was repaired by Des. I would recommend Grand Lake Plumbing. All of their technicians have been great. I have been using them for my houses in Grand Lake since 2005 and I’ve always had good results

Today Josh carried out a service call on our heating system. An excellent technician both in terms of knowledge, skill set and a great ability to communicate. Work was carried out and follow up information was sent within the hour! Highly recommend this company.

March 26, 2025. Full boiler installation, with controls and water treatment complete! I love the technicians (Barry) and the workmanship. Design and technical feedback was excellent. Only issue is being able to contact the office. Hold time can be 30 minutes. Even the Building Inspector was unable to contact them to schedule an inspection. Fortunately he was able to contact me directly. Inspection passed with no issues.

August 6, 2025. No issues with the recent boiler installation, it has been working perfectly. I noticed an issue use with our water pressure over the last few days and contacted GLPH. Rebecca called me back within an hour and scheduled me for the next day (today) 👍. Des arrived promptly and quickly diagnosed the issue with a failure on the main well expansion tank. Upfront pricing was provided and Marcus collected the part from the shop. Both guys stayed late to get the install finished so we had water this evening. Thank you to the whole team!

All of our under-ground sewer line drainage system from under our garage and lower bathroom concrete slabs had to be removed and replaced all the way out to the road. Our house is 42 years old and the hardness of our water supply had corroded and even broke though the interior cast iron drains. The outside PVC sewer lateral also had a break and a couple of sags that necessitated replacement.

Grand Lake Plumbing did an exceptional job in communication and coordination of the project. There were four different contractors involved. They even met our needed “aggressive timeline.” I highly recommend using Grand Lake Plumbing for any of your plumbing needs.

I would like to give a special thank you and shout out to Travis Appelhans, John Schenk, Jon Chrysler, Anthony, Barry, and Danny. Their concern and skill for a job well done was simply extraordinary.!

Excellent customer service. Your receptionist was exceptional in keeping in touch and fitting us in next day. Our technician, Bayley, did an awesome job explaining the process and " after care".
Very professional, she was able to clear the clog rather quickly and followup testing to be sure all drains were flowing freely. The price was a bit high IMO, however the response time and professional work were awesome.
We contacted a number of local plumbers with little response or scheduling a week out (no toilet for a week was not acceptable).

They did a great job troubleshooting my issue but were unable to correct it because it was electrical in nature. The tech (Aaron) was great but the diagnosis fee was incredibly high. I had to pay almost $300 for what amounted to a ten minute diagnosis and “sorry, we can’t fix it, call an electrician”. I still recommend these guys as they responded really quickly, but you will pay top dollar for their service
