Oldest Water Heater Contest
Grand Lake Plumbing & Heating is searching for the oldest working water heater in Grand County. Enter your water heater during August for a chance to receive up to $1,500 toward a new water heater installation.
Even if your water heater is not the oldest, every eligible entrant will receive a $100 credit toward the installation of a new water heater.
Contest Dates
- Entries accepted: August 1 through August 31, 2026
- Entry deadline: Midnight on August 31, 2026
- Winner announced: Approximately September 18, 2026
What You Can Win
Oldest Verified Water Heater
The owner of the oldest verified working water heater will receive a $1,500 credit toward the purchase and installation of a new water heater.
Every Eligible Entrant Receives $100
Every eligible entrant will receive a $100 credit toward a new water heater installation. The credit must be used by December 31, 2026.
How to Enter
- Call Grand Lake Plumbing & Heating.Call 970-627-3441 and let our team know that you would like to enter the Oldest Water Heater Contest.
- Take a clear photo of the data plate.Photograph the entire manufacturer data plate or nameplate on your water heater. Make sure the make, model, and serial number are visible and that the photo is not blurry or obscured by glare.
- Text or email the photo to us.Our team will provide the appropriate submission instructions when you call. Sending the data plate photo registers your entry.
- Schedule an in-person verification.A Grand Lake Plumbing & Heating technician will visit the property to confirm the water heater’s age, manufacturer information, installation, and operating condition. The water heater must currently be providing hot water to the home.
A replacement quote will also be provided during the inspection visit.
Who Can Enter?
The contest is open to legal adult homeowners living in owner-occupied, single-family homes, condos, or townhomes within the Grand Lake Plumbing & Heating service area in Grand County.
There is no fee or purchase required to enter.
