ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The Warehouse Assistant supports the goals of the Warehouse Manager in maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of the Warehouse, and also ensures the technicians and installers have the materials they need to efficiently complete their jobs. This support may often require parts deliveries, assisting with inventory control, tool management, and fleet.
- The essential functions of the Warehouse Assistant are the following:
- Part deliveries to and from job sites.
- Receive deliveries and double check accuracy. Complete paperwork.
- Pull parts for jobs and truck inventory daily.
- Put away returned parts from jobsites.
- Assure adequate warehouse inventory on hand.
- Ensure shop is operating smoothly and assist field staff with parts/tools needed to start their day as efficiently as possible.
- Maintain clean, organized and professional appearance of shop. This includes but not limited to sweeping, organizing, taking out trash/recycling, cleaning mats, replacing light bulbs, laundry etc.
- Maintain the yard which includes mowing the lawn, picking up trash/scrap, removing ice cycles and shoveling steps in winter, etc.
- Manage the scrap metal. Keep sorted, break down #2 metals to #1 when possible, deliver to scrap yard in Granby or Denver when needed.
- Assist with management of the tools. Verify tools are checked in and out, and that they are kept working and clean manner. Either perform or coordinate the tool repairs. Maintain a clean, organized tool room.
- Assist with the management of fleet. Check fuel levels weekly, keep fuel log updated, periodic vehicle inspections, cleaning truck cabs and beds as needed, tire disposal, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
The Warehouse Assistant should be self-motivated and detail oriented. He or she must be driven by excellent customer service, and achieving daily goals. Multi-tasking and time management is an essential part of this role.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 1 year of working in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Experience working in construction, plumbing, or HVAC preferred.
- Experience operating large equipment and pulling trailers preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to read and write English. Must be able to communicate professionally with clear and legible writing.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to successfully complete a mathematical aptitude evaluation, and read simple spreadsheets.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be capable of applying sound business judgment to all decisions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. College or vocational degree preferred.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical place of employment will be at 12208 US Highway 34, Grand Lake, Colorado. The area covered is rural and you will encounter winter driving conditions on mountain roads and passes. On occasion, you will be required to report to work in other areas of the region. If an overnight stay is required in a location other than Grand Lake, expenses will be covered by the company.
This position will require working indoors and outdoors in various climate conditions ranging from very cold with snow to dry summer conditions. This includes attics, crawl spaces, and confined locations. The employee may be called upon to work in customer or service production environments on an as-needed basis. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
Typical work week is eight (8) to ten (10) hour workdays, five (5) days per week, but is subject to change based on the needs of the customers.
