WaterCop® Automatic Water Shutoff Systems
Grand Lake Plumbing proudly offers the WaterCop® residential leak detection and automatic water shut-off products. WaterCop leak detection and automatic water shut-off systems provide your home with round-the-clock indoor flood protection. You don’t have to be home for the WaterCop to shut down your water system and stop massive water damage. It works automatically!
How WaterCop Works
The WaterCop system utilizes an automatic shut-off valve installed on the water supply line of a home or commercial building. When sensors, installed in high-risk plumbing locations, detect a leak, a signal is instantly sent to the automatic shut-off valve to close the main water line. Water flow is quickly stopped to downstream areas of your home or building, reducing the chance of major flooding.
What are the signs you have a hidden water leak?
Water leaks aren’t always easy to detect, but they do provide some obvious signs. To avoid further damage and costly repairs to you home, call Grand Lake Plumbing & Heating if you experience any of these water leak signs:
- Your water bill increased unexpectedly
- The water meter dial is moving even though all water is turned off
- Damp or spongy floors
- Warping on your ceiling or floor
- Mold or mildew developing in your home
- You hear water running between the walls
Depending on the size and type of the leak you could be wasting between 2,000-20,000 gallons of water a year.
How Can Grand Lake Plumbing Help?
To stop a small leak from turning into a big one, take a look at your pipes periodically to check for rust or white lime deposits that may indicate a leak is starting. If you see rust or lime, you may have an issue. Check around the pipe to see if there is any moisture. If you find moisture, act fast by calling Grand Lake Plumbing & Heating. A leak can turn in to a break in seconds!
