Why would I want to look at my sewer line?

Clogged sewer and drain lines can be a real pain.  But by the time the problem shows itself, alot has already gone wrong.

The mess, the odor, the inconvenience...there's nothing fun about it.  Of course, as a careful homeowner, you know lots of useful tricks to prevent clogged drains.

  • Pouring grease into a coffee can;
  • Clearing your sinks of hair;
  • Keeping paper towels out of your toilet.

 But there is so much in your sewer system you just can't see.

Yep, you heard us right.  Roots, low spots, dripping faucets and so much more can cause real problems with your underground sewer line.  Here's what usually happens:

  • Older drain lines, over time, will crack;
  • In the meantime, tree roots and shrubs seek out moisture...including inside your drain lines;
  • Over time, water collects in low spots and freezes.
  • Over time, dripping faucets or leaking toilets will slowly create an ice dam in your lines;
  • Ultimately, debris builds up inside the line, thus causing backed up drains.

And now for the good news.  We can solve your problem in no time.  That's right...we have sophisticated Cameras that will travel down your lines and find the problem.

After we have reviewed the video tape of your line, the problem can be identified and fixed permanently!

As for prevention?  We have some time-tested suggestions:

  • Avoid planting trees and shrubs near your sewer line;
  • If your sewer line breaks, ask to have it replaced with PVC plastic piping...the kind that keeps roots out;
  • Place a cup under each of your faucets overnight to see if water is slowly dripping.
  • Place a couple of drops of food coloring in the tank of your toilet.  If the color ends up in the bowl overnight, then you have a leak!
